It is hard to believe it is 2012! With the new year comes new resolutions . . . mine is to start working on "MY" life and doing more of the things "I" love, like blogging :) This past year has been a crazy whirlwind and with that I seem to have stopped doing alot of the things I enjoy. Life is busy with 4 kids but it is time to make a little time for me.

What's your resolution for this year??

From now on I am going to try to post a few times a month and post all or any of my creations from card making right down to happenings in the home. Hope you'll stop by and check out my posts.

For today I thought I would share a cute craft that I found on Pinterest and decided to try my hand at my own take. I made this for my daughters teacher for Christmas.

The mini chalk board features the grade written in chalk so it can be changed if the teacher changes grades! How clever!!

Yes it is a miracle! I am actually here . . . posting, who would have thought. Life has been soooooo crazy lately, I don't even know where to begin. I have not been scrapping as much as usual infact I recently resigned from my spot on the Created with Paper Design Team simply due to lack of time. Sad but True! However . . . Every week I do post a card creation over on Die Cuttin' Diva's so if it is not posted here be sure to check it out there. Here is my card for this week:

Now your probably wondering what I have been doing with my time since I have not been scrapping much. Well as you know I have 4 kids, babysit and I work part time so that in itself keeps me pretty busy but I have also taken up a new obsession . . . I mean craft ;) CROCHETING . . . and I love it!!! Diva Challenge

It is time for another challenge over Die Cuttin Diva's and this week we are working with my favorite types of cards . . . Baby Cards!!! These are so much fun to make and the possibilities for them are endless, with all the fabulous baby and child inspired pattern papers.

This weeks challenge is to make a "baby" themed project and include a baby animal die cut. Remember any die cut machine can be used to create your master piece.

Here is the card I made for this weeks challenge:

I used my Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge to cut the little lamb. This cartridge has so many great cuts on it, not just the paper dolls!

Sketch Time at the Diva's

March Already??? Seriously? I cannot believe it!

The beginning of the month is such a crazy busy time and I always feel like I am loosing it! This month is no different. LOL In amoungst the craziness is the first Challenge of the month over at Die Cuttin' Diva's. On the first of every month we feature a sketch, the only trick to our sketches it that you must use a die cut, any machine, any theme so the sky is the limit!

I am not really happy with this card but you can't win them all and my time has been limited lately so there is no take 2 on this one.

Seeing Silouettes!

It is week 4 over at Die Cuttin Divas and this week is all about silouettes. I was stumped on this one for quite some time but this is what I came up with . . . a wedding card.

for this card I used a frosted acrylic base and some gorgeous Imaginisce Love and Cherish pattern paper. As for the cut I used my Cricut Expression and then Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge.

I seriously cannot believe we are already on week 3 over at the Diva's! We have had such amazing ladies come out and join us in our challenges and we could not be happier with the results of the challenge blog thus far. We have seen some fabulous talent and cannot wait to see more so be sure to send your friends by.

Finally . . . the Cake!

How are all you fabulous ladies doing today? I have been having a rather blah week which means I have been doing zero creating. I actually took apart my scrap room to clean and rearrange it on Monday night . . . I made a bigger mess than was already there and I have yet to clean it up. How bad is that??? I have been meaning to reorganize it for ages so it is about time I get it done. In the meantime I thought I would share the Birthday cake I made for Jacob a couple weeks ago and promised to share with you all.

I have been an amateur cake decorator for a long time but usually just use buttercream and a piping bag. It was only a couple weeks ago that I decided to try a fondant on my cake and I am loving it. It is seriously like scrapbooking on food!!! Now if I could get my hands on a cricut cake I'd be laughing ;) unfortunately its not in the financial future LOL.

So here is the cake I made for my HUGE Toy Story fan:

I was so happy with how this cake turned out and everyone at the party loved it. I even had a request from one little guy to make one for his birthday ;)

Midnight Frost Collection

I cannot believe we have already blown through the first month of 2011. January was such a crazy month around around here. We had so many birthday parties this past month which was really enjoyable but very expensive and crazy when they all follow Christmas that closely. I am actually glad it's February and maybe things will slow down . . . maybe? LOL

With a new month comes another new Created with Paper collection kit. This months collection is titled "Midnight Frost" and feature some beautiful Bo Bunny! First "Official" Diva Challenge

I am sooooooo excited to be posting the first official Die Cuttin Diva's challenge! Carla and I have been working hard to get this challenge site up and running and we are over the moon today to get it going.

Here are a few reminder details about the blog. Each Tuesday we will post a new weekly challenge with the first Tuesday of each month being a sketch. You can use absolutely ANY Die Cut Machine or device to create your card, project or layout. (your project MUST contain at least one die cut to qualify for prizes) At the end of each month we will be giving away a prize for participation. You will recieve an entry into the prize pool for each challenge you complete through out the month, so play along often! Birthday Gift and a CPS Card

Hope all you fabulous ladies have had another wonderful weekend. Things were just as crazy around here as always. We celebrated Jacob's 3rd Birthday Sunday with a party and I made a cake for him which I will share later this week, plus I had another cake to do for someone that placed an order. In addition to that we also went to a birthday on Saturday for a good friends son. He is a Star Wars fan so I made him the gift basket below and to go along with it I made this card which is my take on this weeks CPS Sketch.

I think this card Coordinated well with the basket and the Star Wars theme. Here is the basket:

Another New Venture

Good Morning! Another early morning around here today, I am babysitting to we were up at 6:30 a.m, thank goodness I only have to do this once in a while. I will likely be using toothpicks to keep my eyes open by lunch time. Not too much on todays agenda.

I thought I would pop in here today to share another one of my latest ventures with you all.

Yesterday I decided to join Uppercase Living as a demonstrator Uppercase Living is a fabulous company that sells Vinyl wall art, both stock and custom in addition to home decor. I am absolutely in love with the products and they are gorgeous, reasonably priced and available to both my Canadian and American Friends which makes it even better! At present you can take view the catalouge on my site but within weeks you will also be able to order products and have them shipped right to your door. It doesn't get any easier than that! I really hope you'll take some time to take a peek and let me know what you think!

Now how true is that? I am not sure that it is cheaper but I certainly enjoy it more than I would enjoy therapy!

Diva Bonus Challenge

Good Morning Ladies! Glad you had a chance to pop in today. Carla and I have been working hard getting Die Cuttin Divas ready to roll on February 1st but we are getting a little antsy and February seems so far away ;) So...... we have decided to have an Early Bird Bonus Challenge to debute our DT Application Cards, and allow all of you to play along with us. How exciting is that?

Busy Busy Busy

As usual this place has been a zoo! Juggling a household of 6 is a tough job! PHEW!! I feel like I have been neglecting all you lovely ladies so I figured I should get my butt on here and share something with you all. I have been scrapping quite a bit lately, unfortunately it is all stuff I cannot share yet but I will eventually ;) So today I thought I would share another non scrappy project, a baby blanket! The little boy I babysit is expecting a brand new little sister soon so I thought I would make her a blanket. I sew alot of Halloween costumes and stuff but not usually things that have to be washed, I worry my amateur sewing will fall apart in the wash LOL! I triple reinforced this baby ;)

Here is my Minky Baby Blanket, one side is flannel and the other is Minky Fleece . . . soooooo soft.

Cutest Baking Basket

Well I had hoped with the Christmas holidays over that things would slow down around here but that is just not the case. We went for Christmas right into Birthday party's galore! and with birthdays, come presents . . . One of my goals for 2011 is to incorporate more hand made gifts into my repertoire. I LOVE creating so what better way to share the passion right?

Our first Birthday Party of the year was this past weekend, it was my girlfriends daughters big day and I wanted to make it special. This particular little one loves to bake with her mom so I thought I would get her, her own apron. I purchased one off Etsy (love supporting other crafters) and the basket spiraled from there, Check it out:

this is a package of sugar cookie mix that I made a topper for

using cardstock, pattern paper, a rub on, bling and my cricut

a box of cupcake mix wrapped in cardstock and pattern paper

embellished with a cupcake cut from my cricut and some bling.

this is a reused Prima flower bag that I filled with blank recipe cards.

I embellished the bag with a cupcake cut from my cricut and some alphas.

lastly I decorated the basket everything was in by making this flower

alligator clip that matched the apron using my i-top and a twist daddy!

I am extremely happy with how this basket turned out and the little girl was more than pleased! I cannot wait to think of some more creative gift ideas for the year.

More Union Station

I promised to come back this week and look at me . . . I am actually here! Whoot Whoot!

Dh has been on holidays this week so we have been enjoying loads of family time which I love. I wish he didn't have to go back next week cause I love having him home with us. Today we tackled some much needed house cleaning after the Christmas holidays and then filled up the cupboards with groceries. Man feeding 4 kids is pricey ;) and now I am baking cakes for my girlfriends daughters birthday on Saturday. I am going to attemp some fondont for the first time so we will see how that goes . . . I will be sure to post pictures.

Ok now on to some scrappiness. I have a couple cards to share with you today using this months Created with Paper Collection called Union Station. I am loving all the glitter in this kit ;)

These cards will be great for Valentines Day or an Anniversary.

Bad Bad Blogger

I have been a bad bad blogger . . . sort of out of character for me but I have had so much going on lately I never seem to have the time to sit at the computer and get stuff done. So here I sit, Jan 4, 2011 making an attempt to get things here rolling once again! So much has gone on in the past few weeks scrappy wise so I would like to catch you all up that first, so here is a brief run down:

First off as most of you know, I have finished my Design Team term at Imaginisce. This is really bitter sweet for me. I have LOVED being a part of this amazing team and Imaginiace was incredibly generous and kind so I will miss both dearly. On the other hand I felt as though I was laking time to scrap for "me", so this will certainly allow me more time for that and my second news update . . . Die Cuttin Divas! My girlfriend Carla and I have been talking about starting up a challenge blog and we are finally going for it. Die Cuttin Divas will start up on February 1st so watch for our first Challenge then. . . and if your looking for the opportunity to be apart of a fun new design team be sure to check out the call here.

More Inspiration and a Winner

Well I said I would be back in a day or two and looky here . . . I actually made it! With Christmas being only 10 days away, things around here have been busy busy busy. This week alone I have babysat, volunteered at the school, delivered baking trays (that I made), prepping for a kids playgroup this Friday , done some Christmas shopping and wrapping and made 9 large gift baskets. That is all on top of my usual daily grind. Phew. Come boxing day I am gonna need to sleep for a week!

Anyway on to what you came here for today . . . another project and a winner!

On Monday I posted my Cottage Christmas countdown calendar for the Imaginisce 12 days of Christmas. I actually had two different items made for this and figured I would share the one I didn't use. Its not that I didn't like this one I just felt it wasn't creative enough. This is a simple wall or door hanging.

The base of this is actually a thin wooden snowflake that I bought from the $1.50 bin at Michaels craft store. Another cheap and simple project to brighten the holidays.

On the 12th Day of Christmas

Today is my day, along with Shemaine over at Imaginisce, to share in a day of creations and giveaways for the DT's 12 Days of Christmas. These last 12 days have been filled with some amazing projects and super giveaways and today is no exception!

Our goal for the 12 days of Christmas was to share holiday project ideas using the Cottage Christmas line that inspired you and left you wanting more. I think we definatly succeeded! Since we have been counting down days I thought a "Countdown Calendar" was the perfect creation.

Here is my take on a Cottage Christmas Countdown Calendar:

This was such and easy project to make so I thought I would share the steps so you could make your own. I used an inexpensive 12 x 12 scrapbook frame that I purchsed at the dollar store. I put my pattern paper inside the frame where you would normally put your layout. Next I adhered the letters "days till Christmas" leaving enough room for some repositionable adhesive to adhere the countdown numbers each day. Lastly I decorated the frame using a variety of mediums including chipboard, embellishments, my i-rock and i-top as well as some ribbon. Easy Peasy!

I have seriously been a bad bad blogger!! Whats with this once a week blogging? and is it seriously December? I think I must have slept through November because one minute it was here and poof it was gone!

This have been crazy busy around these parts and I have been desperatly working my little butt off to get ready for the big upcoming Christmas holidays. I have big plans for loads of baking and crafting to share with all of my family and friends. . . lets see if I can follow through. Sometimes my plans are just to big ;o)

So Enchanted

I seriously cannot believe it has been over a week since I last posted here. For Shame! Our house has been filled with caos this past week which included a bout of the stomach flu which hit every one of us including poor little Ella. I have done more laundry this week than I would normally have to do all month! YUK

My lack of blogging this week made me miss out on all the fun going on over at Imaginisce . . . this week they have been showcasing the new "Enchanted" line. I think this is my favorite line right now! It is so darn cute and has so many amazing possibilities. If you have not been by to check out everyones fabulous creations, please do so, you will not be disappointed!

Today I thought I would share a few of my "Enchanted" creations with you.

Enchanted is not just for girls, here is a layout I created of my little prince charming:

Next is a door sign that I made out of a wooden from I purchased at Michaels for $1.50, eventually I am going to get a picture of the girls wearing crowns to put in the centre.

and lastly here is a fun braclet I made featuring chipboard pieces and pattern paper from the collection. I covered all the pieces including the flowers in liquid glass so they would be water resistant and durable.

Wow its Monday again and there is still a to do list ten miles long around this place . . . why is it that laundry never ends? Just when you finish it all someone goes and dirties more!

Well I am quite sure you didn't come here to hear me whine about my laundry so lets get to the good stuff~!

Today I thought I would share a fun little repurposing/recycling project with you. I love to find new and interesting containers and packaging to alter and the little package Imaginisce Fashion Fabric Flowers come in is absolutely perfect for altering with the enchanted collection! Happy Hump Day! Not much going on around here today, the girls are off to school this morning so its just me and the little ones. I am hoping to get a little crafty this afternoon because I have not been able in a few days but we will have to wait and see how the day pans out.

Anyhow I had a friend ask me for some thank you cards so I browsed around and found some challenges to fullfill while completing them. The card I thought I would share with you today fills two of the current challenges:

Monday Deal

Monday blah! That means back to the grind of packing lunches, getting kids off to school and this week I am babysitting 3 days . . . basically that means I will be good and ready for the weekend come Friday LOL! We have a gentleman coming to install new windows in the kids room this week, it will be nice to get some efficient windows in their rooms. Other than that not much else going on around here.

So last week we made a trip to our local Walmart. We actually don't shop there all that often So I always manage to find some sort of deal or cool thing when we go. This time my find involved scrapping so I thought I would let you all in on it.

I absolutely love my Imaginisce I-top! I love creating all sorts of neat things with it but I prefer using fabric to cover my brad daddies over paper . . . I am way to much of an "A type" to deal with crinkley paper! I have been to the fabric store but basically buying fabric from there means buying a metre/yard which is rediculous for covering brads so I was thrilled when I found these little gems as Walmart.

and at only $2 each I can see myself ending up with a collection of this fabricy goodness ;o) This was my favorite one this time around:

Isn't it beautiful? and it made the perfect centre to the flower I posted the other day.

Are these not the perfect scrapping fabrics? Can't wait to pick up some more of these!

No Scrappiness Today

Horray for Fridays! I am looking forward to some family time this weekend, not sure what we will be doing but no matter what it will be fun!

I have not got in much scrapping time over the past couple days because I have been in costume mode . . . I have 5 costumes to get done before Halloween so I have loads of work ahead in that department. I managed to finish up 2 of the 5 so far and I am very pleased with how they are turning out. I have never purchased Halloween costumes for my kids but now that we have 4 kids in the house the work load is a bit much. so . . . I did purchase a part of one costume but I am busting my butt to do as much as I can by hand.

Anyhoooo I thought I would pop in today to show you a non scrappy thing I did over the Thanksgiving weekend . . . Pumpkin Cupcakes!!

These were a huge hit with the kids. I love decorating cakes and goodies for the kids and think I am going to make these again but with Jack-o-lantern faces for Halloween!

Imaginisce and 2 Sketches 4 You

Holy Moly it's Thursday already, I really don't feel as though I got much done this week. My house is a mess (as usual), there is a tonne of laundry to do, Halloween costumes to finish and a scrappy to-do list 10 miles long. I really need to figure out how to juggle LOL!

Yesterday I was feeling as though I "needed" to scrap! The 2 older girls were at school and baby Ella was sleeping so I set Jacob up with a snack and a movie and I headed of to my scraproom for a wee bit. I wanted to continue playing with my Imaginisce Button and Twist Daddies and their awesome accessories. Playing with them gave me a great card idea so I got to creating with this weeks 2 Sketches, sketch.

and here is what is so cool about this card . . . The flower is actually removable! I adhered the flower with a button daddy to the coordinating bobby pin clip. This means the recipient not only has a beautiful card but they also have an incredible hair piece!!! How cool is that? Check it out:

Ok is it just me or did that weekend just fly by? We didn't have any major plans this weekend but we managed to spend some time with great friends, our kids and even some family. Friday Fun!

Hooray its Friday! Today the kids and I are heading out to do some running around. Its a PA Day here which means no school so we will try to get out and enjoy the day. Then this evening my husband and I have been invited to a friends which is always enjoyable. There are actually 4 couples going and we all don't get together enough so I am really looking forward to it.

Today I thought I would share a fun project with you.

I wanted to do something fun with this Imaginisce Dinosaur Roar Collection, so I hit my stash of alterable items. I have a habit of saving containers and stuff that I think might make interesting altered items. The tube I used for this project came with some vinyl wall art in it that I bought on clearance while in Duluth. I knew I could do something fun with it.

This would make a great birthday gift for a little boy who loves Dino's!

Here is a matching card created using the Dino Roar Collection and the Cricut Dinosaur Tracks cartridge to complete the gift set.

Happy Hump Day! Today was a whirl wind of a day that seemed to fly by super quick. Its likely because the girls were in school so it was pretty quiet around here ;o) I managed to finish moving my scrap room today which is a big weight off my shoulders and having the toys up in the livingroom is working out well for the little ones too. I have loads more room in my new scrappy area so it is likely going to take a while before everything get set up just the way I like it but so far it seems great.

Before I ripped my room apart I worked on a few little projects to blog about while my room is out of sorts. Today I thought I would share my take on this weeks 2 Sketches 4 You sketch. I love working with sketches and I had a friend place an order for a 30th Birthday card so together it worked out perfectly. I was pleased with how this card turned out and my girlfriend loved it! Even Better!!

It's Friday, It's Friday! Wahoooo We all know how much I love the weekends!!! My husband and I were thinking we would take the kids and go out for dinner tonight but it is cold and rainy here today and I am thinking staying home in my cozies sounds much better. Not sure what I will make for dinner though, I guess we could order take out ;o)

Well I am really loving this back to school thing. We are actually getting some routine around here again, the kids are napping regularly and I am getting in some scrap time. I love scrapping on cold rainy days like today especially! I am thinking about moving my scrap room this weekend hmmmmm . . . . it is a big undertaking but I will keep ya posted on that one ;o)

Christmas in September?

Wow . . . I made the top 5 over at 2 Sketches 4 You this week!!! This is actually the second time I have been in the top 5 over there which is really exciting, although I have never made card of the week so I am going to continue to work on that one ;o)

I figured I would pop in today to post another Christmas card I made. I decided sometime ago to start working on xmas cards early so I am not cramming come December to try and get them finished. So far I have only got about 10 cards made but I suppose its better than none. Todays card was made with the Imaginisce Christmas Cottage Collection. I love this collection, it makes cards easy and is perfect for the holiday season. This card is a quick one that was whipped up in about 5 minutes.

Hello Ladies. Hope everyone is having a great week this week. Things have been busy here as usual, I have had my daycare kid here the majority of the week which adds to the ciaos in our home. So far the girls are loving school and I am enjoying spending some quality time with wee ones. Another bonus to that is that the little ones nap so it gives me time to scrap which I love!!!

I really liked this weeks 2 Sketches 4 You Sketch so I figured I would give it a go yesterday. To create this card I decided to pull out some of the pattern paper I purchased at the True Colours close out sale while away this past weekend. In total I purchased 86 sheets so that should keep me happy for a while ;o)

I have also decided to add another feature to my blog. I often get asked what products I am using so I am going to add an "Ingredients" section to let all my readers know exactly what I used to create my pieces. I used to do this before in a shortened format but I got lazy ;o) Hope this information is helpful to you all.

I am a little behind this month getting things done in every aspect of my life it seems. First was the Corn Roast to organize and prepare for, then we had a few birthday parties and other events on the agenda, plus getting ready for back to school and before I knew it September arrived and I was behind!

September Already???

Shoot I cannot believe it September already . . . summer is gone and the kids are back to school. Now it is time to get life back on track. Back to the routines, early bed times and wayyyyy more scrapping!!!

Julia went for her first day of SK today and she had a blast. She could not wait to get on that school bus this morning but she was just as happy to see me at the end of the day which was nice. She was even more thrilled that her best friend from school is still in her class which is a relief seeing as they were splitting up alot of the kids this year.

Anyhow being that it is the beginning of the month means there is a fabulous new Created with Paper Kit out! This will be the current owners final kit . . . sad but true! Be sure to stay tuned for some big changes in the company and I am sure they will all be fantastic as one very talented scrapper takes over! I look forward to the future with Created with Paper and can't wait to see all the new goodies.

More Apple Cider

It is a gloomy, cold and rainy day here which means it is a great day for getting things done around the house. Right now I am working on getting the laundry caught up . . . it is the chore that never ends! No matter how much I do it seems as there is another load ready and waiting to be washed. Whats up with that? In addition to laundry I have plans to do some scrapping and make a nice dinner. It has been so hot here the last couple weeks we have been having sandwiches and stuff that does not require turning on a stove. Looking forward to a nice hot meal.

This cool fall like weather today makes it a perfect time to highlight some more Imaginisce Apple Cider creations. This collection is perfect for fall photos and decor with its warm colours and fall coloured leaves and trees. I absolutely love this collection!

Finally . . . A Project and A Winner!

Sorry its taken me so long to get back here . . . My poor little laptop caught a very bad virus and is in now to get a new hard drive (thats how bad it was). I am super lost without my laptop, even more than I realized I would be. Needless to say I am not a happy mama right now. I stoled hubby's computer this evening to do up a post before everyone decides to stop following due to my lack of sharing ;o)

A couple weeks ago I mentioned that I had been working some altered projects and I really wanted to share this one with you all. Seeing as I had already uploaded the photos to PhotoBucket I am able to share it with you without needing my laptop. Phew!

Anyhow, when our daughter was born 7 weeks ago we received some really cool gifts including two diaper cakes . . . have you seen one before? They are fabulous gifts that include a whole package of diapers and other goodies. These are the two I received:

Aren't they great! I absolutely loved receiving them and I could not resist trying one of these out. So I came up with this, I call it my Gourmet Diaper Cake: The one thing I did differently is to spiral the diapers rather than roll them so I could get a smooth surface for my paper and embellishments.

What do you think? I will certainly be making more of these in the future.

Another Crafty Project

Happy Thursday Ladies! We are rounding the corner to the weekend . . . whoot whoot! Got any big plans for the weekend? We are having a yardsale on Saturday. We have alot of stuff in the garage that has to get moved before the big corn roast so we figured we would give a yard sale a try. If we could make enough to pay for all the corn, buns, pop, juice, water and plates for the party that would be a big bonus!

I mentioned a few days ago that I had done a few crafty projects so I thought I would pop in and share another one of them with you.

2 weeks ago we were sitting around with the kids and I decided I wanted to get a print of all their feet, so I pulled out a canvans that I purchased some time ago along with some acrylic paint and that was the beginning of this project. Once their feet were printed I could not resist altering it up a bit and this is what I came up with:

These photos just do not do this project justice, it looks so much better in person but I still wanted to share the idea. I put the kids names and ages at the time of the print next to their footprint.

This canvas is a great addition to our master bedroom. I love looking at their prints and it will be a great reminder of how little they all once were.

2 Sketches and a Giveaway!

As promised in my last post I am back to share another one of my recent creations with you and offer up some goodies!

Hope you are having a wonderful week. Things here have been sort of blah this week. The weather has turned cool and the sky has been filled with clouds and rain, even though the rain is much needed it always makes me feel gloomy. I have lots on my to-do list over the next week and a half as we are getting ready for our annual Corn Roast on the 28th so I best try to get out of this slump and get my butt movin ;o)

Last night we had a birthday party to attend for a friend who was turning three so I decided to make a card using this weeks 2 sketches 4 You sketch and what better collection to use for a Birthday Card than the Imaginisce Birthday Bash! Here is the card I created for him using the sketch:

Hello Again!

Hope everyone's week was a fabulous one. Mine was ok but as you can see from my lack of posting I was a little off my game. I managed to find time to play with some projects but just could't seem to find the extra time to spend on the computer! It was sooooo hot and humid here my middle name was misery most of the week and I certainly did not want to subject you all to that. LOL I am happy to report things have cooled off a bit now. phew!

I thought I would try to pop in here over the next few days and share some projects I have been working on . . . no layouts or cards just altered items which I really enjoy when they work out well. The fist one I am going to share with you today is an apron . . . how fun is that?

The amazing people at Imaginisce sent us I-rock aprons last month and of course the name of the game was to bling them up! I am a little late getting mine up but I guess it is better late than never. I had so much fun blinging up this apron, and fell even more in love with my I-rock tool. If you do not have one of these yet they are a definate must! Sooooo much fun!!!

Here is my apron, I used the flower and flourish I-rock templates to created the designs.

Doesn't that make you want to bling up something?

I seriously cannot believe it is August already! Were the heck has the summer gone? It feels like it was just June last week and I slept through July . . . minus that whole birthing thing! Speaking of which, Ella is now 3 weeks old. At the rate weeks are flying by she is going to be 18 before I know it. I'm finally getting into a routine around here which includes some much needed scrap time each day! Therefore I actually have stuff to share with you ;o)

Mmmm Apple Cider!

Wow it has been a while since I posted . . . or scrapped for that matter. It is amazing how busy you can be with a new baby at home YIKES! She is nearly three weeks now and we are finally getting a bit of a routine down. Who knows how long it will last but for now I will take advantage of my 1 hour of free time in the afternoon while the 2 younger ones nap and my 5 year old has her quiet time. I have been using that hour to scrap and I am having a great time using my new Imaginisce goodies . . .

The new Apple Cider collection is a must have! I am loving the colours, cute creatures and fall like designs. So far I have managed to complete a 12 x 12 layout and a couple cards so I thought I would share them with you today seeing as I have been neglecting you all lately.

I added a mirror sticker from the Birthday Bash collection to the inside of this next card.

A New Princess

Well the day finally arrived! Friday July 9, 2010 at 10:45 the newest addition to our family finally arrived. Meet the newest Princess in the Wark household, Ella!

As you can imagine things have been quite hectic and it will likely be a while till I get back on track with 4 kids in the house. Yikes! Dh is home on holidays right now so that will help . . . we love having home with us and it will be sad when he has to return to work. Now time for some scrappiness . . .

Saturday was twisted sketches day but I didn't leave the hospital till Sunday so I missed that post, so I will share that card with you today . . . you will notice my next few twisted cards are Thank You cards. I spent the week last week making Thank You's for friends, family and hospital staff when our baby was born. They are coming in very handy now ;o)

Well ladies still no baby yet! I was sure last night we were going to be heading in but things came to a hault about midnight so we are still in waiting. The weather here has been so hot and humide, definatley not fitting for a very pregnant mom!

Last month was my birthday and my very good friend Toni and owner of Created with Paper made me my very own collection kit featuring the Bo Bunny Flower Child Collection. She named the kit the "Wark Collection" How lucky am I??? I had so much fun working with this kit and I thought I would share one of the fun layouts I created. Check this out . . .

This collection is so fun to work with and has unlimited layout possibilities but here is what I came up with. I made them somewhat similar so they would make a good double layout.

July Sketch and Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day!

to all my Canadian friends and followers.

How will you be spending your Canada Day? We are thinking of heading to a friends camp for the day to take in some swimming and play. The weather here is gorgeous today so it will likely be perfect for a swim. Later in the evening we will head into town to see the annual fireworks. I love holidays ;o)

In addition to being a holiday today it is also the beginning of the month which means a new sketch over at Imaginisce! I had the honour of creating this months sketch WHOOT WHOOT!!!! Because I am more card maker than scrapper I thought I would create a card sketch but as you will see by some of the DT creations you can also create a layout or any other project you wish!

CWP July Monthly Kit Release!

I seriously cannot believe it is going to be July tomorrow . . . where did June go??? July will be an exciting month in our home as we will be welcoming our new addition at some point! In addition Dh has some holidays booked and we always love having him home! Not sure what we will be doing during his holidays . . . guess it will depend on when baby decides to arrive.

Ok enough about that stuff and on to the scrappy goodness you come here for!

Created with Paper has a super cute kit this month, Cosmo Crickets Girl Friday paired with some awesome Bo Bunny goodies YUM YUM YUM! Here are some of the creations I came up with for this collection . . . and I still have loads of goodies left for creating!!!

Here is a 12 x 12 Layout, I tried to show the versatility of this kit by doing a non girly and fall layout and I think it turned out perfect!

Here are a couple cute cards, I always try to come up with a few from the collection.

Lastly here is the teachers gift I made for Julia's JK Teacher this year. I got the idea from Aimee Grenier, she made this gift last year and I just couldn't wait to do up my own take on it.

Well that is all my creations for this month but like I mentioned there are loads of goodies left over yet so I still have plenty more creating to do. If you love this kit as much as I do, head on over and grab yours before they are gone because I assure you they are not going to last long!

A couple DT cards

No Baby yet but we are getting down to the wire here . . . only 22 days till our due date!!! But I personally am hoping for anyday now ;o) I am super tired, cranky and uncomfortable so I have not been doing much of anything. I do however have a few DT cards to share with you today.

Being Monday today means it is time for another Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Card but before I get to that one I thought I would share my Twisted Sketches Card that went live on Saturday. Here is this weeks sketch and the twist for this week is Flourish!

I cannot seem to get enough of my Imaginisce I-Rock tool so of course I used that to create my flourishes. I also used some super Bella Boulevard Paper and stickers that were sent to us Imaginisce girls! Thaniks Bella Boulevard!!!!

Now on to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge . . . This weeks challenge is in honour of July 4th but being Canadian I kept mine to the red and white for Canada Day which is July 1st! In addition to the July 4th theme you are to use a star cut . . . I chose to use the star cut from the Plantain Schoolbook Cartridge and I used some firework like flourishes from the Celebrations Cartridge. I am in love with this card! What do you think?

Fantabulous Monday

Well when it comes to scrapping it is Fantabulous Monday but in general I have to say this Monday is pretty blah! DH is back to work, I have a million things to do, home with the kids and feeling pretty useless do to my lack of manauverability. Oh well I guess it is all part of the process and I will just keep pluggin along!

So enough of my whinning and on to what you came here for today! Fantabulous Cricut Challenge!!!! Seeing as next weekend is Father's Day, that is the theme of this weeks challenge. I chose to recycle a canister that I purchased some wall art in. You could fill this with Dads favorite treats, a tie or some tools! I used the tie from the Paper Doll Cut Out Cartridge . . . I selected real size and blew it up big! I am pleased with how it turned out and this dh will like it expecially if I will it with chocolate!

Cannot wait to see all you fabulous Father's Day creations!

A Twisted Card Sketch

Wowzers have I been a horrible blogger or what??? 12 Days without a post . . . For Shame!!!

Your probably wondering where the heck I have been and what I have been doing. Well I am in my last weeks of this pregnancy and with that comes a whole wack of stress and a whole lot of prgnancy brain. I seem to be forgetting everything these days including dr.s appointments! Bad Bad Bad In addition I am desperatly trying to get things in order at home but that seems to be a daily loosing battle LOL! Soooo as you can imagine, my scrappy life is just as disorganized and I am desperately trying to stay a float without disappointing all you fabulous followers!

Challenge Me Monday

Good morning ladies! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend, I know I sure did and as usual it was busy busy busy! On Friday evening we hosted a party for my sisters 30th birthday, the theme was chocolate and wine. Although I couldn't drink the wine I did eat my fair share of chocolate! Mmmmmm!!! Saturday dh and I took the kids to see a reptile display which was pretty cool. I will post pics later of all the creatures, and I will also have to post some pics from the kite festival we went to today! Some pretty amazing kites! Lastly we finished our weekend with a BBQ at Auntie Wanda's which is always enjoyable. Now on to the goods you come her for,

The Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blogs, Challenge Me Monday!!! This weeks challenge is Shower the Baby: Create a project that has something to do with a baby shower. Example; invitation, gift, baby album etc. I decided to create a gift, a baby's sleeping door hanger. I love the way it turned out and I am thrilled with the 3D flowers I created using my cricut! I have seen so many tutorials on creating these type of flowers by using the Tim Holtz 6 petal flower die so I figured I would give it a whirl using two different flower cuts from the cricut. One was a 5 petal flower from the "walk in my garden" cartridge and the other a 5 petal flower from the "accent essentials" cartridge. I think they turned out great!!!

Phew this is a late post . . . I had to work today and just recently got home to be reminded that today is Twisted Card Sketch Day Ooooppps. We all know how much I love rub-ons and the Imaginisce Love and Cherish Collection has some beauties so of course that is what I decided to use.

Birthday Card

Yesterday was my little sisters BIG 3oth Birthday so naturally I had to make her a birthday card. I was sure that this was going to be a challenge seeing as I have not scrapped in over a week and my mojo has gone on a vacation! I was pleasantly surprised though . . . . My mojo had come back and creating a card was easy peasy, I even managed a few other projects for upcoming DT assignments! My mojo is back ladies!!!! Now I just wish I had more time to utilize it.

Anyhow when it came to creating my sisters card I decided to check out some sketch challenges for this week. I always find that when I am lacking direction they help alot. After some browsing I decided to use this weeks 2 Sketches 4 You sketch and of course some argyle pattern paper seeing as my sister is an argyle fanatic.

Here is the final product, hope she liked it!

My apologies for the lack of posting this week and for missing out on this weeks fantabulous Cricut Challenge Card! Not only was my mojo on vacation I also spent much of last week under the weather and at 8 months pregnant that is exhausting in itself but I will defiantly be back with some more projects very very soon!

A not so scrappy project . . .

I have been a bit under the weather these past few days so there has not been much scrapping done around here. I did however complete a project a couple weeks ago that I have been wanting to share.

My husband and I decided that it was time to finally decorate and pay attention to our bedroom seeing as every other room in the house often gets a make over but our bedroom has lived in neglect for years. In addition to paint and bedding we decided to buy a new bed . . . King Size! Whoot Whoot! but a new bed ment a new headboard so we headed off to the Re-Store to purchase an old door (which is oddly the perfect size for a king size bed) and only $10! I had decided I wanted one of those chic fabric headboards like you see in all the home deco shows. Next I bought some foam, batting and fabric and went to town. When it was finished it was missing a little something soooooooo

I pulled out my Imaginisce I-Top, some Jumbo Button Daddies and ended up with the perfect DIY headboard ever!!!!

What a fabulous weekend and a summer project!

I had the most fantastic weekend ever! DH was off on Friday and today so we have been filling our weekend with loads of fun family activities. and the weather??? has been gorgeous! Yesterday we had 21 kids to our house for a huge backyardbirthday for my daughter who turns 5 on Thursday and today we headed out to a local farm for her school mates birthday. Both parties were so much fun!

Anyhow enough about my weekend it is time to talk about what is going on over at the Fantabulous Cricut Blog. Last week we had our first ever cricut crawl and all I can say is WOW!!! What an awesome turn out and some super amazing projects were created by a load of very talented ladies. I cannot wait till Wednesday to see who all the winners are . . . stay tuned ladies!

Now on to this weeks challenge . . . Bags, Boxes Bonanza and include the color Black: Create a 3-D project using the color black on your project. I had so much fun creating this one with the new Splash Dance Imaginisce line! I did however forget to use black so I managed to add a little in with a strip of black core dinations cardstock and doodlebug rub on letters. Here is my little beach bag card . . . I filled it with sunscreen packets ;o)

This bag was cut from the Bag, Tags, Boxes and more Cartridge. It is the shopping bag cut and I think it makes a super cute little gift card.

Well the weekend has come to a close yet again, now normally I would be really sad but today is just so super exciting . . .

I seriously cannot believe it is May already. Not only are the days flying by bit it seems like the months are as well. Seems like just yesterday it was Christmas!

Anyhow with another month comes another fabulous monthly kit from Created with Paper and this months kit is just that . . . FABULOUS! It doesn't get any better than a Bo Bunny collection. This month CWP is feature the new Mama-razzi line. This line has a vintage feel to it and was really great to work with. This months kit also features a black board photo box from Cosmo Cricket which was a fantastic match for this collection. Here is my Photo Box and a few other fabby projects:

Monday Monday . . .

I hate that the weekends fly by so quickly . . . mind you I had an extremely productive weekend. I am almost done my bedroom make over which I am very excited about. Once our new bed gets delivered on Wednesday I will be able to finish up Yayyyyyy. I also managed to get alot of yard and house work done as well.

Quick Post and an Apology

I am sooooo sorry ladies for my lack of posting this past week . . . spring is in the air and it seems like there are 101 things to do, Yard Work, House Work, Organizing, and the everyday kid, family and house stuff. Needless to say there has not been alot of time for posting. I have been working on loads of stuff to share now all I need to do is take photos and start posting them ! Uggghhh! Anyhow thanks for being patient and still coming to visit me ;o)

Now on to some scrappiness . . . today is Monday which means it is time for another Fantabulous Challenge Me Monday. Todays challenge is to creat something for MOM! and of course use your cricut.

Here is what I made: A brag book! For this one I used my Cricut to cut vinyl for the lettering and the heart.

Twisted Card Sketch #3

Hello Ladies! How is everyones weekend thus far? So far we have had a very productive weekend and been getting loads of stuff crossed off our to do list around the house. We finished cleaning out and organizing our garage, which was a big job!!! I also got around to going through all the baby stuff we have left and sorted through all the clothes finding suitable wears for the new addition. Turns out I will have to do a little bit of shopping but I think I can handle it LOL! Hope everyone else is having a great weekend too!

Hello ladies . . .

Happy Thursday to you all! Today was a beautiful day here so we spent much of the day outside enjoying the weather and of course trying to clean up the yard a bit. There always seems like so much to do out there! How was your Thursday?

Anyhow before heading out to enjoy the weather today I helped a friend do some scrapping which of course got me in the mood to tackle another card sketch. When I first saw this weeks CPS my automatic reaction as "no way" but once I started to think about it some more I became increasingly more in love with the sketch and used it to create this monochromatic card:

A Hump Day Post

Its a gorgeous day outside here but not to much on our agenda. I am babysitting today so having three little ones does not lend to getting a whole lot done. We did head outside to play for a little while and while the kids ran free I tackled a little bit of gardening . . . there is plenty to do but I highly doubt I will on my hands an knees pulling weeds this spring/summer being so close to expecting. Guess it will have to wait ;o) Anyhow I thought I would pop in briefly while the kids are down for a nap to post a challenge card.

I managed to find a little bit of time first thing this morning to whip up a card for this weeks 2 Sketches 4 You. I am a big fan of Kazan's sketched and this weeks is no exception. Love it, clean and simple . . . just my style. Here's my take:

Wow it seems like forever since I have posted here . . . shame on me!!!

Last week Myself and a few other ladies in my family, actually 8 of us ;o) went away on a little road trip to the US and stayed at a casino . . . 2 nights of eating, gambling and shopping! Whoot Whoot! What a well deserved 3 days off of motherhood. Needless to say once I got back to the real world I had loads to catch up on . . . Loads of Laundry, Loads of housework, and Loads of work! Another Challenge Me Monday

Wow I cannot believe how fast these days are whipping by! Monday again Uggghhh!

Although today is an exciting day for us . . . I am going for an ultrasound bright and early this morning and hope to find out the sex of our new little bundle. We have never found out with any of our kids so since this is our last we thought we would try doing things a little different! Later this morning we are heading off to a birthday party for a friends daughter. The kids are honestly more excited about that so all in all it should be a great day for everyone!

Twisted Sketches Card Sketch #1

Happy Saturday Everyone . . . hope all you fabulous ladies are having a wonderful Easter weekend! I am certainly enjoying a weekend of family and fun.

I am popping in today to share my first of many Twisted Sketches DT Cards. I am so excited to be a part of this fun design team. You all know how I LOVE sketches!!! and these sketches are great because each and every one incorporates a super fun twist!

Here is the first ever Twisted Sketches Card Sketch:

and the twist is: SQUARE (you can inturpret this in any way you want)

Here is my take on the sketch:

and for the twist part I chose to make the 2 squares in the sketch just that and layer them up for a popping effect. Normally I think I would have done a square card but for me that was just too predictable.

2 Sketches Girly Puppy Card

How's everyone's week so far? Mines not to bad . . . did a bit of babysitting and spent some time outdoors because the weather has been sooooo beautiful. Tomorrow we have some family coming into town for the Easter holidays so that should be pretty enjoyable. What's your plans for the holiday weekend? We are having a big family dinner here on Sunday, 26 people total! Not sure where we are going to fit everyone but we will make it work. I am also having a backyard Easter Egg Hunt for the kids after dinner so that should be loads of fun and hopefully provide me with some great photo opportunities as well. One of the other things we have this weekend is an Easter Brunch on Monday . . . it is actually for a Birthday. Our friends daughter is turning 4, which brings me to the reason for my post today, a birthday card!!

Of course whenever I need to make a card I like to incorporate a challenge. For this one I chose Kazan's sketch this week over at 2 Sketches 4 You. Here is this weeks sketch:

I tried to make this card girly and include puppies because this little girl loves dogs and cats. Here is my take on the sketch:

Quick Tip Tuesday

Well the girls are off to school today and it is just the little man and me hanging out. We are going to head out to playgroup shortly then probably just head back home to veg and enjoy some one on one time.

Tuesday means it is time for another quick tip over on the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. This week I have decided to share my top 3 favorite organizational items. All the items I am going to share with you are ones I actually use in my scrap space and were worth every dime!

1. Renee's Clip it Up!

I have seen a number of tutorials on how to make your own inexpensive Clip it up and I even tried a couple but nothing works like the real thing!

2. The Ribbon Ring

I recieved this little gem in a scrap swap. I had seen them before and never thought it was something I needed but let me tell you this is the most amazing little organizational tool. It is perfect for all you ribbon by the yard!!

3. Making Memories Embelishment Centre
Two years ago this is what I asked for, for Christmas and I have never regretted it! Even though this shelf is not deep it still holds an amazing amount of products. From my Ink, to spooled ribbon this shelf holds just about everything.

I cannot believe it is Monday again already . . . Why does it seem as though the weekends just fly by? Even though it was a quick weekend it certainly was a good weekend. We had 2 family birthday parties and got together with some friends for bowling and lunch, so our weekend was definatly eventful and enjoyable!

I wanted to pop in quickly today to share some more exciting news with you all.

I recently found out that I was chosen by the talented sketch designer Anam to join her design team over at Twisted Sketches. Anam is famous for her twisted layout sketches each week! Now she is going to be providing card sketches every Saturday!!! wahoooooo

Twisted sketches rock because each and everyone has a twist to them . . . for example the twist to the sketch she provided us with on the try out sketch was "clear". I chose to use a clear acitate card, others chose clear lettering, velum or windows. How clever?

There are 2 card teams that will be showcasing their cards on Twisted Sketches so be sure to watch for some exciting creations from myself and the other design team

2 Year Blog-A-VERSARY!

Yup . . . 2 YEARS!!!!

This past Tuesday March 23rd was my 2 year Blog-a-versary! I really want to be able to share this big occasion with all of my friends and supporters, meaning YOU! The past 2 years here have been truely amazing, I have met a number of wonderful people (friends), designed for some awesome blogs and companies, been published online and in print and I cannot wait to see whats to come in the future. In celebration of my 2 years here I wanted to offer up a great prize to thank everyone for all thier love and support.

Horray for Tombow and Imaginisce!

Happy Hump Day Everyone! and this hump day is a super fabulous one, infact all week is pretty spectacular for us ladies at Imaginisce. We have temaed up with Tombow this week to showcase our amazing products together! As I mentioned in an earlier post Tombow was extremely generous to all the Imaginisce and they gave us a load of adhesives and art markers to try out and I must say these products ROCK!

Some time ago I bought some Martha Stewart shadow box frames from Micheals. These were on clearance for $3 and I couldn't resist the bargin. I just knew they would come in handy some day and check this out:

This frame was made with the Imaginisce LiveLoud collection and Tombow adhesives. Here are the two adhesives I used: The Permanent Mono Adhesive roller and the Metal Glue.

These two products are seriously AWESOME!! Normally I am not a fan of adhesive rollers because I find they run out wayyyy to quickly for the amount of adhesive I use but this Tombow one is the BEST by far and lasts forever! Love it! The Medal Glue is equally as amazing, dries fast, holds well and is not messy to use. A definate must have. I used it to adhere all those buttons! (Thanks to Melinda for the inspiration on the buttons on your LP layout)

In addition to these the above products I am also loving the glue pen for fine details.

Quick Tip Tuesday 2!

It's Tuesday which means it is time for another super fantabulous quick tip and I cannot wait to share this one with you . . . genius is how I would describe this one!!

I recieved an email early this week from one of our fantabulous followers, Wendy Ramlakhan over at Whimsical Wendy and she has an incredible tip that I am thrilled to be able to share with you all. Check out Wendy's post about creating a template for making multiple cuts with your cricut and any sentiment you can dream up created in Word. This tip is super for making duplicate cards like invites, announcments, and Thank You's. Pretty darn clever I must say!!!

Here are Wendy's instructions:

"First, I had the Cricut cut the tag to fill an entire 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. I just used regular copier paper to do this since this was going to just serve as a template, no need to waste precious cardstock. (Just set the Cricut to the lightest pressure.) The Cricut had cut the tag 4 across the page and 7 down. Now I knew how I needed to set up my Word document. Next, I opened a blank Word document with the margins ALL set to zero. I chose my font, and typed the sentiment. I started spacing the sentiments evenly in rows just like the Cricut template. (It took only about 4 test prints of the Word document before I had the spacing perfect, so it was really easy to do.) I knew it was perfect when I laid the cut out tag template over the printed sentiment sheet and it all lined up. When I had it all just right, I printed the sentiments out onto cardstock, placed that cardstock sheet into the Cricut and Ta-Da!!! Perfectly printed sentiment tags cut for me!!! Isn't that so cool? It really saved a lot of time."
